DSL Speed Test
Attention Middlefield residents: please perform a DSL speed test to help show our town’s need for “last mile” broadband:
- Go to http://www.speedtest.net/
- Wait until the “BEGIN TEST” button appears, and then click on it (don’t click anything else).
- Record your Ping, Download Speed, & Upload Speed.
- Note date & time of test.
- Note whether you subscribe to regular or “Enhanced” High Speed Internet.
- Email data, including location (name not required), to comcom@middlefieldma.net.
The Massachusetts Broadband Institute will be interested in our results. They are completing the “middle mile” fiber backbone in July, and should receive $40 million in funding to help bring last mile broadband to homes throughout the state.
